The United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) is the organization behind the fast, fun and dynamic sport of practical shooting. As a recognized USPSA Club, Bristlecone Shooting, Training & Retail Center is proud to host Eastern Colorado USPSA competitive shooting matches each month on the Denver metro area’s premier indoor shooting range. But before you jump into competition, we need to teach you the basics.
In our comprehensive Intro to USPSA Competitive Shooting class, students will learn about match structure and rules, firearm safety protocol and USPSA divisions and classifications, plus official range commands, equipment, targets, scoring, power factor and more. A 4-hour class, students will be evaluated on how well they manage their firearm, including handgun handling, holstering and accuracy, tested on our Virtual Training Simulator. There is no live-fire shooting range time.
Upon successful completion of the class, students who demonstrate the necessary firearm skills and shooting techniques will receive a USPSA safety card, required to participate in USPSA matches.
