Sponsored by RUGER, the Family Intro to Firearms class is a basic firearms course where students will learn about multiple firearm platforms such as pistols, rifles, and shotguns! The class is geared towards beginner shooters of all ages (10 and up) with limited to no experience with firearms handling. Students will get the opportunity to learn about different parts of various firearms, ammunition, safe firearm storage, and most importantly, safe firearm handling. Skills learned in the classroom will be reinforced during the live fire range portion of the class.
Recommended equipment:
- 22LR rifle
- 100 rounds of ammunition
- Hearing and eye protection
- Range appropriate clothing (crew neck shirt and closed toe shoes)
- If you don’t already have the recommended equipment, we offer rentals at the facility for a discounted price! Ammunition must be purchased from the facility if you require a rifle rental.
A minimum of 3 students is required to run the class or it may be canceled/rescheduled. One registration per person – please make sure to register everyone in your family under their own names to avoid duplicates and potential issues.
