Training
4 Rings Tactical Open House: 1/22 at 12PM
4 Rings Tactical is a specialized training company in Colorado that Bristlecone is excited to be collaborating with. You’ll see several new classes on our calendar this year that they are teaching, both in and out of the live-fire range. Come meet the instructors, learn about their experience, and hear about the new curriculum they are bringing in to Bristlecone during this FREE Open House event! Registration requested here.
New Classes
Casualty Care – Hemorrhage Control (4 Rings Tactical): First session 1/8 at 3PM $85
Participants will learn the basic skills needed to respond and care for a person’s injuries and to decrease preventable deaths in a high stress situation. Participants will get hands-on training and the opportunity to get multiple reps in during the course. More info and register here.
Casualty Care – Advanced Gun Shot Medical Course (4 Rings Tactical): First session 1/9 at 10AM $200
This class will introduce reality-based skills and information. Participants will learn how to respond to and care for patients in a tactical environment. During the class, participants will learn how to treat a wide range of injuries to decrease preventable deaths in a high stress situation. The skills learned will be put to the test with stress-based scenario-training. More info and register here.
Both Sides of the Gun (4 Rings Tactical): First session 1/8 at 6PM $200
Pre-requisites: Concealed Carry Permit (Recommended, but not required), Medical course (Stop the Bleed, Hemorrhage Control, Casualty Care and Rescue, or other course that deals with blood loss).
Imagine a scenario where someone is badly injured, bleeding out in front of you, and there is still an active shooter in the area. First you clear and secure the area, then start the process of saving the life of the person in front of you. It’s a scenario no one wants to find themselves in but being prepared can increase that person’s chance of survival. Being able to switch from an active defensive/offensive mindset to a medical mindset can be extremely difficult. We can no longer count on first responders to be there in time. Having the tools and knowledge, on hand, to step in and save lives is no longer a luxury – it has become a necessity. More info and register here.
Verbal Judo (4 Rings Tactical): Next session 1/29 at 11AM $63.75
Verbal Judo, or Tactical Communications, is the gentle art of persuasion that redirects others behavior with words and generates voluntary compliance. The goal of Verbal Judo is to talk individuals who are hostile or not in complete control of their behavior into voluntary compliance without need of any physical force. Much of Verbal Judo is common sense and strategy that ordinary people use every day in encounters on the job, among friends, or in the family. Not everyone knows how to utilize these communicational skills and Verbal Judo is here to prepare you for those encounters! More info and register here.
Multi-gun Fundamentals: Next session 1/15 at 6:30PM $135
The Multi-gun Fundamentals class is designed to introduce experienced shooters to the awesome sport of 3-gun or 2-gun competitive shooting! This sport is very popular and one of the fastest growing shooting sports. The first portion of the class will start in the classroom, then transition to the range so students can learn and work through the skills related to shooting a course of fire. Students will learn about match safety, gear selection, efficient stage planning and execution, firearm platform transitions, and match etiquette! After this course, you’ll have great tools to use at future matches! More info and register here.
Tactical Rifle X: Urban Combat: Next session 1/30 at 5PM $150
This 5-hour course builds on previous courses (Tactical Rifle 1 – 3) and focuses on urban combat situations. In this course students focus on various shooting positions based on real life situations, working through V-Tac barriers, and implementing previous knowledge as they work in and around cover and concealment. We have several sessions of Youth Pistol (Level 1 and 2) and Youth Rifle scheduled in January, plus lots of CCW (available in women’s only and beginner-specific formats) and Intro level classes (Intro to Pistol is available in women’s only format and is now offered at weekday special pricing for sessions that are scheduled Monday – Thursday). Gunsmith
Much of our business across the Bristlecone facility comes from word-of-mouth and referrals, and our Gunsmith shop is no different! All month in January, our Gunsmith is offering you a deal when you refer a new customer to their shop!
If you bring our Gunsmith the name of a new customer (must be a first time Bristlecone Gunsmith customer) that you referred who uses the Gunsmith in January, you’ll get an extra 10% off of labor on your next Gunsmith job. If you’re a Member, that’s 25% off (because you already get 15% off labor every day in the Gunsmith Shop as a Member benefit!).
