Training

As always, we’ve got tons going on this month in our Training Department.  We’re committed to bringing you new curriculum and learning opportunities every month!  Make sure you check out these classes we’re highlighting in February:

Couples ReACT (Realistic Armed Combat Training) and Valentine’s ReACT Sessions 2/6 and 2/13

Our shoot house environment is perfect to take your training to the next level with a scenario-based approach.  Why not run through some scenarios with whomever you would likely be partnering with in a defensive situation? Learning how to work together and communicate under stress is always important.  This type of training, which uses Simunition (non-lethal training ammunition) rounds, provides students with the unique opportunity to see how their existing skills serve them when their adrenaline is high.  Register together for the 2/6 session, or individually for the session on 2/13.  Check out more info here.

Verbal Judo: Next Session 2/12 3PM

Verbal Judo, or Tactical Communications, is the gentle art of persuasion that redirects others behavior with words and generates voluntary compliance. The goal of Verbal Judo is to talk individuals who are hostile or not in complete control of their behavior into voluntary compliance without need of any physical force.

This 2-hour (no range time) class is perfect for developing skills you can use in a multitude of settings.  Read more and register here. 

Long-Distance Fundamentals….. is back!  Next Session 2/26 9AM

The Long-Distance Shooting Fundamentals class is designed to take students’ experience with rifles and push it even further! Join Wesley Wang, our long-distance shooting expert, at our partner range Pawnee Sportsman Center, as he introduces the concepts of precision shooting. During the class, students will focus on setting up their rifle, zeroing at distance, configuring the scope for distant engagements, various ballistic principles, and more! Skills learned in the classroom will be reinforced on the long-range pad during the live fire portion of the class. Students will confirm their zero at 100 yards, then engage steel targets 400-1000 yards out depending on student equipment. Once all is said and done, students will be ready to apply their knowledge towards a new shooting passion!  Rental rifles are available.  Read more and register here.

Are your kids interested in shooting? Do you want to pass down an amazing sport to the next generation? Join our Youth Training Program’s classes to teach your kids about firearm safety and shooting fundamentals!

The Youth Pistol 1 class is designed to teach kids about firearm safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, ammunition, and how to safely have fun with firearms. 

The Youth Pistol 2 class continues to get kids excited about working with firearms and is designed to expand their knowledge of different handgun platforms! In this class, students will get to learn about and shoot handguns of various calibers and action types while improving their fundamentals.

Youth Rifle: Next Session 2/9 6PM

The Youth Rifle class that is sponsored by Ruger is designed to teach kids about firearm safety, rifle shooting fundamentals, ammunition, and how to safely have fun with firearms. They’ll get the opportunity to shoot two different firearm platforms (semi-automatic and AR-15) both in 22lr and try out different shooting positions!

Gunsmith

Our January Gunsmith promo was such a hit, we’re keeping it around for another month!

If you bring our Gunsmith the name of a new customer (must be a first time Bristlecone Gunsmith customer) that you referred who uses the Gunsmith before the end of February, you’ll get an extra 10% off of labor on your next Gunsmith job. If you’re a Member, that’s 25% off (because you already get 15% off labor every day in the Gunsmith Shop as a Member benefit!). And remember, the Gunsmith gives a 5% discount to Veterans all year round!
