The fact is that it can and does happen to legal gun owners every day. Come join experienced program attorneys and law enforcement professionals as they explain the basic laws and strategies gun owners need to stay out of trouble. Further, receive critical knowledge on what to do if you are forced to protect yourself.

All month in July, the Bristlecone Gunsmith is offering a 15% discount on any US patriotic Cerakote design.  Make your firearm truly one of a kind and all-American this July with one of his custom designs.  Check out some examples of his work on his Instagram page (@Bristleconecustoms).  This offer is not valid with any other discounts.

Training and Events

We have lots of new classes up on our calendar and ready for registration, as well as events and competitions that are back in action.  Check out a few of them below:

Security Team Tactics – Designed for Church Security Teams

This class was designed to develop the skills of a cohesive team or the key members of one team. Team members must register as a group by contacting instructor Tanner Noland (tnoland@bristleconeshooting.com). During this 4-hour course, team members will spend time in the classroom, live fire range and in our shoot house environment. After a general discussion and safety review in the classroom, our instructors will conduct a preliminary skills assessment during the first part of the live fire range portion. Down range drills with then be adjusted and executed accordingly. Skills involving moving, magazine changes and engaging multiple targets will be addressed. The class will then move in to the shoot house environment where scenario-based training will be used to hone communication and site specific skills, followed by a debrief and conclusion discussion in the classroom. This course includes a preparation call between the instructors and team leadership prior to the class, so that we are able to customize the curriculum to the specific needs and experience level of the team.

Tactical Rifle I, II and III – New, revised curriculum

These classes are back on our calendar with a new pricing structure and a whole bunch of new drills and tactics taught in the range.  This is an intermediate series of rifle classes appropriate for students that have taken Bristlecone’s Intro to AR course.  You can see when the first 2 are scheduled, read more and register here.

Glock Shooting Sports Foundation (GSSF) matches are back!

The next 3 sessions are 7/19, 8/2 and 8/11 with the awards ceremony following the match on 8/11.  If you’re curious about competitive shooting but haven’t tried it yet, these Glock Shooting Sports Foundation matches are a great place to start.  You can read more about them here.

Youth Club is back!

The 4 sessions this summer are 7/31, 8/14, 8/28 and 9/5.  This group was created for kids between the ages of 10 and 17 to enjoy the shooting sports in a community environment. Each week will bring a different activity (competition, skill development) in the range, as well as time for the participants to socialize and work with their Instructor on improving their skills. All skill levels welcome. The group will be focusing on USPSA matches and the associated competitive skills during this next series of sessions.  Interested in signing someone up?  Contact Cindy Coker at ccoker@bristleconeshooting.com for more information.

Also coming soon…. Youth Defense Tactics class and a Shoot House seminar!
