November and the holiday season are upon us! Have you seen your first holiday commercial or heard that first bit of music yet? We feel like it gets earlier and earlier every year. We can’t wait to get in to “full holiday mode”, but we’ve got some important things happening at your favorite range and retailer in Lakewood before we can officially shift gears. Veterans Day Event 11/11 5-8PM

Join us on Friday 11/11 from 5-8pm at Bristlecone Shooting for an evening dedicated to recognizing our local Veteran community and launching VetStore, a community-based initiative benefitting local Veterans and their families.

Enjoy delicious food from Chey Fu’s and Street Eats food trucks on-premises, as well as brews from Launch Pad Brewery who will be pouring a great selection for you after you’re finished having fun in the range!

Register here for a special competition in the range with proceeds going to Colorado Veterans Project, a 501c3 whose mission is to enhance pride and patriotism in all Coloradans by building a stronger, more supportive community around our Veterans. 4 divisions: Iron sights pistol, red dot pistol, PCC, rifle. Each participant can shoot the course of fire once per division entry. The average score will be taken. No .22LR permitted at this match.

Required equipment:
– Firearm most appropriate for your division
– 100 rounds of ammo
– At least 2 magazines (3-4 preferred)
– Eye/ear protection
– Range appropriate clothing

Training Gift Cards

We rolled out our new Training Gift Cards in October and they’ve been a big hit! These cards give you the opportunity to give the gift of training this year with confidence. Training Gift Cards are good for Bristlecone classes or private instruction, and are perfect when you’re not sure which class or training style would be best for the recipient. You can pick them up in-store or on our website here.

Reloading Zone Classes

Did you know that The Reloading Zone offers classes? They can teach you the fundamentals of pistol, rifle and precision rifle reloading in the classes they teach each month. You’ll learn the basics of reloading ammunition from cleaning and preparing the casings to actually loading rounds! Check out the training calendar here for all the details and to register.

Tactical Pistol Training

Our regular Tactical Sustainment Pistol sessions are moving back to midday Thursdays, and Lunchtime Locked and Loaded is back! If you know, you know….. and if you don’t but you’re interested in taking your pistol training to the next level, definitely check out these sessions.

Here some general info on these sessions: Want to practice the skills you learned in our Tactical Pistol classes? Come work with our instructors and learn new drills! During each sustainment session, the instructors run various downrange drills that reinforce specific skills taught in Bristlecone’s Tactical Pistol classes. These are exercises that you don’t get to do on your regular trip to the range so join our expert instructors for an hour to practice and have fun!

*The Bristlecone facility will be closed on Thanksgiving day (11/24).
