August is National Shooting Sports Month across the country!  

National Shooting Sports Month celebrates the passion we all have for target shooting and a pastime that provides a lifetime of enjoyment that can be shared with families and friends. At the same time, it reminds the public that shooting is a safe, fun activity enjoyed by millions of Americans. 

All August at Bristlecone, we’ve got promotions and events scheduled centered around making it easy and affordable for you and your friends and family to enjoy all that the shooting sports have to offer.  Here is what we have planned:

  • ALL MONTH Give $10, Get $10 on the Bristlecone Range.  Bring in a customer that is brand new to the Bristlecone range (never shot with us before) and you will get $10 off your range bill…. and so will your friend or family member!  Or… you can choose a $10 Bristlecone Gift Card.
  • ALL MONTH get 10% off all intro level classes when you register in August.  You don’t have to take the class in August, just register for a class during the month of August to get the deal.
  • August 18th is FAMILY DAY at Bristlecone Shooting! Look at what’s going on:

FREE Training Seminar at 9AM with breakfast and giveaways!  Meet our instructors and see demos of the drills taught in their classes on the range.

FREE lunch (while supplies last) on the grill starting at 11AM

August 1st is Colorado Day –  Show your state pride with us on Wednesday August 1st and save big.  Wear your Colorado gear to the range and get half off your range fee on Wednesday August 1st.  PLUS, all gear from Colorado native manufacturers will be on sale Wednesday only.  We’ve got deals on Longs Shadow and Sweetwater holsters, Burris optics, ReFactor apparel and gear, Boulder Case Company and Colorado Caliber T-shirts.  We live in the best state on the planet – help us celebrate!

Retail Promotions – Keep and eye on your email for our next FLASH sale featuring another higher-end firearm manufacturer.  We’ll announce the sale in August as it starts via email and social media. ALSO, all August shop our online store for great deals on all hunting rifles, optics, knives, gear and ammunition. Hunting season is right around the corner.  Are you ready?

Membership – We love our Members at Bristlecone!  If you sign up for a new monthly membership in August or renew your expiring annual membership in to a monthly membership, you’ll be entered in a drawing to win a new Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0! 

Training – Our instructor of the month for August is Nick Dillman, whose passion is ARs/Rifles.  Read more about Nick here.  Nick will be running our Training Wednesdays (formerly Training Thursdays) the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evening of the month from 5PM-close.  Come out and learn under the watchful eye of an expert for no extra charge during these sessions.  Our Monday Locked & Loaded series will also continue in August!  These sessions are every Monday from noon – 1:30 and have been featuring downrange, move and shoot drills.  What better way to spend your lunch hour than in the range, where you’ll be able to blow off some steam and learn some new skills to help you break your plateau.  We’ll be running our Tactical Rifle Classes in August.  Don’t miss out – we only run this series of 3 shorter, progressive classes once a quarter.  The dates are 8/9, 8/15 ,8/22 and you can register here.  Finally, we have two legal seminars scheduled in August; US Law Shield presenting on Surviving a Shooting on 8/26 and Firearms Legal Protection on 8/29.  You can sign up for either or both here.

Competitions – Please note that the dates for our monthly USPSA matches have changed from Wednesdays to Thursdays.  The monthly matches will now be held the 3rd Thursday of each month.

Summer Hours – Back to school and back to normal hours.  We’ll resume our regular hours starting Monday August 20th and will close at 8PM instead of 7PM during the week.  Sunday hours remain the same (10AM-6PM).
