We’re showering you with *New* at Bristlecone this April

We’re excited for the start of Spring and for all the new inventory and educational opportunities we’re introducing this month.  Check out everything we have going on at Bristlecone this April below!

*New* Retail Inventory

Our buying team is always scouring the firearms universe for the best manufacturers to partner with and products to offer.  This month, we’ve got new inventory in from:

Stag Arms

Bravo Concealment

Dan Wesson

LFA

These are manufacturers that you haven’t seen in our shop for quite some time – if ever – so make sure you’ve got Bristlecone on your list of places to visit this April.

…and if *new* inventory isn’t your thing, be sure to check out our ever-rotating selection of used firearms.  We have a great consignment program where you can sell your firearms as well as purchase quality used firearms at great prices.

*New* Classes

As in most months, we’re introducing new classes on our Training Calendar to keep your training on track.  Here’s what you’ll find starting in April:

AR-15/10 Cleaning Class $80

Taking your AR Rifle apart and cleaning it can be an intimidating process! In this class, you will learn the basics of disassembly/reassembly, maintenance, and basic functions of the firearm. Upon completion of the class, you’ll have a new useful skill set and a clean rifle! There is no live fire during the class and the focus is on the AR platform only.

F.A.F.O (Facilitating Alternative Fighting Options) $125

This class will give participants the skills and experience needed to react to emergency situations with a higher level of confidence. The session will expose the reality of defensive encounters through fact-based scenarios to put each participant’s skill level to the test. Students will have the chance to respond to different scenarios that will challenge their decision-making process for threat identification and mitigation. Participants will walk away from each training session with a better understanding of their capabilities and will have more exposure to defensive situations people may find themselves in. The 4RT instructor team will give evaluations of students’ performances in real-time. At the end of the session, students will be able to purchase video footage of the session for $25! Working through each scenario once is great, but being able to review it and have an eagle-eye view will take your training to the next level. We use Simmunition ammunition and equipment for this course.  No live fire.

Range Safety Officer Certification Course $150

The NRA Range Safety Officer program was developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized range safety officer certification. NRA Range Safety Officers are people who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. This course does not encompass the functions and responsibilities of a Range Officer, who conducts NRA competitive shooting events as defined by Rule 11.5 of the NRA Rule Books. NRA Range Safety Officers must be 21 years of age or older. The Range Safety Officer course consists of: Range Safety Officer’s roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings which include emergency procedures. Candidates must also receive 90 percent or better on the written exam.

Other Training Department *New*s

Our very own Firearms Instructor and Training Development Supervisor, Cindy Coker, has been selected to represent the United States at the IPSC Shotgun World Shoot in Thailand this December!  Cindy will be on the 2023 Women’s Modified Team, along with Ursula Williams, Tennille Chidester, and Katelyn Wheeler.  The US Women’s Team took Bronze in 2018 in France, so the team members will be defending a podium this year and we wish them the best of luck!  The US Team is comprised of 29 shooters in total (men’s and women’s teams plus individuals), and participants will be shooting 30 stages and approximately 400 rounds (bird/slugs/buckshot).  Congratulations, Cindy!  We’ll all be rooting for you!

*New* Community Program Opportunities

The VetStore program is in full swing at Bristlecone, with some new Gunsmith Service-based storage options that have just been rolled out.

  • Trigger Locks, Clamshells and Cable Locks – FREE, just ask one of our associates!

If you’re a Veteran and looking for temporary storage, come see us and learn more!
