January Shooting & Training Events in Denver, Colorado at Bristlecone

It’s a new year! What are you doing to improve your personal defense skills? We’ve got lots of classes, deals and events planned to boost your confidence in your ability to protect yourself and your family. Here are some of the highlights:

Membership and Training: All month in January, when you purchase a new Membership or renew your existing Membership, you’ll get 1/2 off of your next class purchase. Just bring in your proof of purchase/renewal to register in the store. Start the year off right with a Membership to give you access to regular practice and a class to inspire your training efforts.

Gunsmith: The best advertising comes from you! All month in January, our Gunsmith is offering you a deal when you refer a new customer to the Gunsmith shop. If you bring our Gunsmith the name of a new customer (must be a first time Bristlecone Gunsmith customer) that you referred who used the Gunsmith in January, you’ll get an extra 10% off of labor on your next Gunsmith job. If you’re a Member, that’s 25% off (because you already get 15% off labor everyday in the Gunsmith Shop as a Member benefit!). And remember, the Gunsmith gives a 5% discount to Veterans all year round!

Retail: The owners, Bryan and Jacquelyn Clark, will be attending SHOT Show this month, where they will be able to preview all the new firearms industry “stuff” entering the marketplace in 2019. Bristlecone is committed to carrying best in breed products for personal and home defense, as well as competitive shooting in our retail area. Keeping on top of new technology and products in the industry is a big part of that effort. Range: January is one of the busiest months of the year for the range at Bristlecone. Members – we highly recommend that you take advantage of your #1 Membership benefit and make a reservation when you know you want to come in and shoot. You can make a reservation up to 14 days in advance on our website or by callling 303.985.0989. We kept our class schedule light for the first week in January, so that we can accommodate as many reservations and walk in customers as possible. The range is a great indoor activity for families and friends enjoying the last bit of winter break, so come in and enjoy!

Youth Programs: We have 2 very active youth programs that will be ramping back up in January 2019; The Bristlecone Youth Shooting Club and the Scouts Venturing Crew #1911. The Bristlecone Youth Shooting Club is a great activity for kids ages 10 – 18 who want to learn more about the Shooting Sports. The Youth Club will be hosting an Open House on January 16th at 6PM (regular meeting dates for 1st quarter are 1/30 6PM, 2/13 6PM, 2/27 6PM and 3/11 6PM), so you can meet the instructors and youth participants to see if this is the right activity for your young Shooting Sports enthusiast!

The Scouts Venturing Crew is an inclusive program through the Boy Scouts of America for boys and girls ages 14 – 20. The crew meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8PM at Bristlecone. Each meeting includes time in the range where participants can learn in a supportive environment. Crew 1911 will be hosting an Open House on 2/6 at 6PM, but you’re welcome to come to either of the January meetings to meet the youth and adult leadership that are committed to the development of youth in the Shooting Sports.  

Competitions: Our GSSF Matches return in January!  If you’re not familiar with the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation style of competition, you can visit their website here or come to one of our matches and see for yourself!  These competitions are perfect for those new to competitive shooting.  If you don’t own a Glock, no problem!  We have a number of them in our rental fleet that you can use for the matches.  We’ve changed up the dates for this first series of matches to give you more opportunities to participate.  The first match is Saturday January 26th at 9AM.  Call 303.985.0989 or come in to register.
