Bristlecone Fundamentals of Concealed Carry with Force on Force Training – Part II

This course exceeds Colorado’s requirements for a concealed handgun permit. This course is designed to educate the students on which handguns are best for concealed carry, how to carry them safely and securely, and how to deploy them efficiently in the context of a Dynamic Critical Incident. This course introduces shooters to the core basics of the Defensive Shooting Program, as well as aspects of handgun ownership and other basic information geared toward the handgun owner. Based on science, logic and reasoning this conceptual course will cover basic pistol handling, holster selection, drawing from a holster, alternative force options and interacting with law enforcement and the aftermath of an incident.
Reality Based Training Scenarios test and evaluate how students deals with rapid information processing and decision making while performing complex motor skills under stress. Using emotionally charged scenarios with simunitions enabled firearms to apply skills learned in class, students will get a realistic idea of their response to concealed carry situations under stress. Skills learned in the classroom will be reinforced in the live fire range time.
Defensive Handgun (modern striker fire preferred)
Appropriate strong side holster
100-150 Rounds of ammunition
Hearing and Eye protection
Range appropriate clothing (No shorts or open toed shoes)
Equipment rental package available for $10. This includes a handgun, magazines and holster only.
Minimum number of students (3) required to run the class or it may be canceled/ rescheduled.
